Pandas
International is a non-profit organisation based in Colorado. It works hard to ensure the preservation and propogation of
the giant panda, and they raise and provide money for research,
breeding programmes, vet care and medicine and habitat

2008 was a particularly challenging time after the earthquake in May which struck right at the heart of the Wolong area. There was good news, however, in that 16 or so baby pandas were born, all of whom needed careful monitoring and feeding.

These pandas need you!
There are just around 1,600 pandas left in the wild, so the reserve at Wolong is a vital one to help preseve the panda.
There is
currrently a shortage of bamboo which mans that wild pandas could
starve. This is a result of last summer's earthquake when so much
bamboo was destroyed by mudslides. Can you help with the re-planting
efforts to ensure these wonderful animals have food to eat in the
future? There are just 1,600 in the wild now, so every panda counts.
