Let's Change our Behaviour
| There are a number of ways we can all help the animal kingdom, simply by changing our behaviour and habits. We've listed a few of them here. |
Hold on to balloons! The Marine Conservation Society points out that many animals die because they make the mistake of eating balloons or they become entangled in their string. They're not party poopers, however, and have come up with other ways in which we can still have fun with balloons. More... |

Cut down on the power we use. Polar Bears International point out that one way you can help the polar bear is to stop using the car and turn off your electricity. Sure, the car angle isn't practical for everyone, but we all need to cut down on the number of car journeys we take where we can. More... |

Let's get in the habit of picking up litter, whether it's ours or not. Many animals think litter is something to eat, and they get their heads stuck in tins, their paws cut on lids and can't digest rubbish. International Coastal Clean Up Day provides an opportunity for us all to get involved and clean up a beach, but there's nothing to stop this extending to a land clean up as well. More on that here... |

Let's spread the word that care homes do take pets, and there's no need for the elderly and their cherished four legged friends to be parted when their owners move into homes. |

| Let's get into the habit of connecting with the wonderful world of nature. So much knowledge and understanding of the natural world is being lost. Let's connect with nature as much as we can and learn about it to better understand the incredible life which exists around us, and which we often can't see. Let's go for a walk this weekend and use our senses - sight, smell, touch, and hearing (taste may be a bit risky) - to really explore the world around us. |
 |
| Let's get into the habit of looking for ways to get involved, add our voices and make a difference. |
Let's get into the habit of taking action! |
